Ron Simmons

1/03/2017

In September 2016, Ron Simmons was playing music for a funeral when he collapsed during his transfer from the piano to the organ. Immediately, a few physicians and a physician assistant who were attending the funeral came to the rescue for the 66 year old and began administering CPR when no pulse was found. Simmons was treated in the cardiac unit at Huntsville Hospital before transferring to HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Huntsville for his rehabilitation services. Despite a temporary lag in his speech pattern, he is doing much better now and was given the opportunity to finally meet the physician who helped save his life that day.
